Youth Parliament passes NWFP renaming resolution
ISLAMABAD – The Youth Parliament Pakistan (YPP) has passed a resolution proposing Pakhtunkhwa or Afghania as new names for the NWFP.
The resolution was moved by Aurangzeb Khan Zalmay, Muhammad Irfan Khan members of the opposition party (Green) and Ali Inam Khan member of the ruling party (Blue).
The members were of the view that NWFP was not a reasonable name. They termed the call for renaming NWFP as Pakhtunkhwa as genuine demand of the Pakhtuns.
